Self-Steering Committees

Collaborate with academic peers at Una Europa universities through Self-Steering Committees (SSC) - with a focus on six interdisciplinary areas:

Research collaboration and collaborative grant applications from member universities are supported and encouraged.

Opportunities

Doctoral researchers and supervisors: boost your interdisciplinary methods and research skills – and your impact!

This course is for candidates from social sciences, humanities and law domains who are working on topics related to global governance and Europe’s place in the world.


This year's Seed Funding Call invites applications via one of two strands:

  • Strand A, targeting collaboration among the Una Europa universities.
  • Strand B, targeting collaboration among the Una Europa universities and universities outside the Una Europa alliance.

Up to 10 projects will be funded, with a maximum budget of € 40,000 per project.

The deadline for proposals is 18 June 2025 at 4pm.

Edinburgh colleagues gathered on 28 March to learn how Edinburgh researchers can apply for up to €40,000 for a joint project in collaboration with Una Europa member universities.

Open to applications from academics at the University of Edinburgh to work on joint teaching and research projects in collaboration with colleagues at FUB.

Maximum funding amount: 10,000€

The funding will be allocated and managed by the FU Berlin lead, but participating students and academics from Una partners will be able to use the funding for travel and accommodation expenses, guest activities etc. 

Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.


Past projects

Previous teaching and learning collaboration across Una Europa initiatives include the creation of MOOCs, micro-credentials, and joint undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
